![]() Even Wally was constantly on her about Flashpoint, and how poorly that went. You’d think that after all of her time on the team, she’d truly understand the consequences of changing the timeline. So I will be a little put off if the village still ends up being wiped out.Īs for Amaya, her choices were certainly on the reckless side of things. ![]() He was very quickly dispatched in the beginning-and theoretically should be just as easy to shrink before destroying Zambesi. Now I’m always happy to see more Grodd, but I do wish he was more present in the plot. Amaya went rogue in an attempt to save her village, and Grodd went after Barack Obama. With time nearly about to crack, and Mallus nearing his true form, the Legends had a lot to deal with. Nora and Mallus were center stage this week. On top of that, they even went back in time to 1999 to the set of Lord of the Rings to get John Noble’s voice to trick Nora, which was a hoot. They hear uncanny similarity in Denethor’s voice to that of Mallus’. In looking for a way to duplicate Mallus’ voice (voiced by John Noble), the team overhears Mick watching Lord of the Rings. I have been wondering for the longest time why in the world this episode was titled “Guest Starring John Noble.” The payoff to that question was fantastic, and had me laughing due to its meta cleverness. Please Keep In Mind That This Article Contains Spoilers For “Guest Starring John Noble” and Events That Occurred Prior. For now, Richardson-Sellers has been hard at work launching the company Bareface Productions and working behind the scenes on short films and other projects centering LGBTQIA individuals and marginalized communities “from around the world.Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave. I feel like I grew a lot, as a human and as an actress, being there.Īnd I will miss Maisie Richardson-Sellers playing both characters on the show. There was always a writer on set, which makes you feel much more involved in the process. There’s a very diverse group of writers who are really emotionally invested, as well. Everyone’s so talented and passionate about what they do, which feeds into the whole way that the show runs. We were hanging out on the weekends with some of the crew. You walk in, and you’re hugging everyone and you know everyone’s name. I cannot tell you how lovely it is, being on that set. Legends of Tomorrow definitely benefited from Richardson-Sellers’ talents, that’s for sure. As Charlie, the actress had to start from scratch and “recreate all of those dynamics” that Amaya had already established with the Legends. Honestly, I think what Maisie Richardson-Sellers did to differentiate both characters as completely separate people with their own unique personalities and backgrounds was fantastic. So, I got to rediscover the whole show and the whole cast again, which was really an awesome gift. People that Amaya was close to, Charlie was very much at loggerheads with, and vice versa. It was really fun to play Amaya and who she was, and then to be able to recreate all of those dynamics and relationships with all of those actors again, as Charlie, was so fun. I want to act in as many different bodies, lives and worlds as I possibly can, so to be able to do that twice within one show, as two so polar and contrasting characters was fantastic. Speaking with Collider, Richardson-Sellers discussed why she enjoyed getting to play two very distinct characters on the show. Amaya was very on task and loyal to the mission, while Charlie was a bit more of a fun wild card. That said, the differences between Amaya and Charlie were night and day. With doppelgangers, mirror worlds and more, the Arrowverse shows present an abundance of opportunities for actors to play dual roles. Maisie Richardson-Sellers really got to flex her acting skills on Legends of Tomorrow.
